RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Flávio Bolsonaro’s lawyers have filed a disciplinary complaint with the National Council of the Public Prosecutor’s Office against the state prosecutor general of Rio de Janeiro, Luciano Mattos, asking for an investigation into the publication in the press of a financial intelligence report on the senator.
A report published information about one of the Financial Activities Control Council (Coaf) reports on Flávio’s financial movements, although the document was under judicial seal.
The lawyers claim that only Mattos had access to the document. Now, it is Mattos’ turn to present his defense.
The challenge will have some difficulty prospering. When the report on the report was published, the document was under the power of Mattos, but before that it went through different offices of the Public Prosecutor’s office and was initially transmitted from Coaf itself so that it may have been leaked by the hands of other people.
