Chile firm Genesis Ventures signs agreement with MIT Capital Partners for technology startups

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The Chilean venture capital fund, Genesis Ventures, signed a strategic alliance with MIT Capital Partners, an entrepreneurship consulting firm formed within the ecosystem of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), in Cambridge, United States, to search for technology-based startups in Latin America.

MIT Capital Partners supports investment processes of global funds such as Sequoia, Data Collective, GGV Capital, ACME, Village Global, among others. In addition to being in contact with the entrepreneurial ecosystem of universities such as Harvard, Princeton, UPenn and NYU, supporting venture capital funds, corporations and governments in the processes of search, selection and analysis of startups.

Rodrigo Castro, co-founder of Genesis Ventures, explains in a press release that “this alliance will allow us to be more efficient in the analysis process of technology-based ventures seeking funding in Chile and the rest of Latin America.”

Meanwhile, Audrey Li, president of MIT Capital Partners said that “we are very pleased with this alliance with Genesis Ventures, it is our first fund in Latin America, and we hope to be a long-term strategic partner that will allow more and better ventures to be financed by this firm.”
