Brazil detains two Bolivian brothers accused of murder

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – One of the detainees, whose identities were not disclosed, is on the list of the “most wanted criminals by the Bolivian authorities,” the Brazilian police said in a statement.

The two brothers are also accused by their country’s authorities of “stealing objects, money and the victim’s car” which they used to escape, according to the statement.

The Brazilian federal agents complied with a preventive detention order for extradition purposes issued by the Supreme Court, based on an Interpol warrant.

The two detainees “will remain at the disposal” of the Brazilian Supreme Court, “awaiting the extradition process,” the report said.
