Trade between Brazil and Argentina up 44% in October year-on-year

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The information was presented on Tuesday by the Argentine delegation at a meeting with Brazilian entrepreneurs at the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (FIESP).

Argentine exports to Brazil reached US$1.218 billion, while Brazilian exports to its neighbor amounted to US$1.125 billion in October, leaving a US$92.4 million surplus for Argentina.

Compared to October 2020, Argentine exports to Brazil grew 50.5% and Brazilian exports to Argentina rose 38%.

The figures confirm the recovery of bilateral trade between the two countries, which was impacted by the pandemic and had been faltering since before, amid Argentina’s long-lasting recession.
