Finally, the recently inaugurated diplomat stated that he expects to conduct productive work over the next four years, with the support of the government and the Ministry of Finance.

PILOT PLAN

Within the framework of the various cooperation actions with Paraguay, the European Union implemented a pilot plan aimed at eradicating poverty and inequalities, with the goal of replicating it throughout the whole country.

The Integrated Social Protection Record (FIPS) is a tool that will provide the Social Protection System with data on people’s needs, especially in areas of access to basic services such as health, housing and education.

As a first stage, the FIPS was conducted with 200 families in 4 towns in 3 departments in Paraguay, who were interviewed and thus participated in the data collection as part of the pilot test, aimed at perfecting the tool for subsequent implementation at the national level.

The organization stressed this on Sunday, October 17, in celebration of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty. “In the end, it’s all about people being able to live better lives. Through our cooperation, we are working with Paraguay to reduce poverty,” the EU said.
