Covid-19: Government of Peru declares all provinces in moderate pandemic alert level

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – In 2020, the government ordered the classification of the 196 provinces of the country, belonging to the 24 existing departments, according to the severity of their health situation. The classification established four levels of alert or health risk: extreme, very high, high, and moderate.

Due to the notable decrease in the number of infections and deaths caused by the virus, all provinces currently enjoy the lowest alert level. Likewise, the Government ordered a curfew in all provinces for only two hours a day, from 2 AM to 4 AM local time (7:00 to 9:00 GMT).
