Five best movies and series to binge-watch this weekend

I Know What You Did Last Summer (Amazon Prime Video series)

The movie franchise of the same name, “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” follows a group of teenagers about to graduate from high school. While leaving a party with their classmates, the five are in a severe car accident and end up killing one person.

Afraid of the police, they decide to hide the body, but the secret doesn’t stay hidden for long. A year later, a series of accusatory notes begin to surface. A brutal killer knows about their macabre secret and decides to punish them one by one.




You – Season Three (Netflix series)

What would you do for Love? When the brilliant bookstore manager meets an aspiring writer, he has no doubt: he would do anything. He doesn’t hesitate to use the Internet and social networks to find out the most intimate details. The attraction turns into obsession.

To win the woman of his dreams, he is willing to remove all obstacles – and people – from his path. In Season 3, Joe and Love are married, have a baby, and live in balmy Northern California. They find themselves surrounded by tech entrepreneurs, mommy bloggers, and social media-famous biohackers.

Joe is determined to fulfill his new role as husband and father but fears Love’s lethal impulsiveness. Besides, his heart doesn’t help. My Name (Netflix series)

After the resounding success of “Round 6,” the most-watched original series in Netflix history, the streaming company is trying to shoehorn in a new South Korean k-drama.

In “My Name,” Jiwoo is a young woman who goes to great lengths to uncover the death of her father. When she discovers that the killer is a cop, she infiltrates a drug cartel run by one of South Korea’s biggest crime bosses.




Just Beyond (Disney+ series)

Based on the work of “Street of Fear” author R.L. Stine, “Just Beyond” is an anthology fantasy series. Each chapter introduces new characters who go on a fantastic journey of self-discovery in a magical world of witches, aliens, ghosts and parallel universes, and more. In each of the eight episodes, the characters are terrorized by a supernatural creature.




Acapulco (Apple TV+ series)

“Acapulco,” tells the story of 20-something Máximo Gallardo (Enrique Arrizon), whose dream comes true when he gets the job of his life as a cabana boy at the hottest resort in Acapulco. He soon realizes that the job is much more complicated than he ever imagined.

To succeed, he must learn to navigate a demanding clientele, a fickle mentor, and a complex home life without getting lost in shortcuts or temptations. The series, which is told in Spanish and English, takes place in 1984, with Derbez narrating and playing the present-day version of protagonist Máximo Gallardo.
