Argentina: Guide to international flights approved from October 15 to October 31

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The Argentine government, through the National Directorate of Migration and the National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC), announced the new flights approved given the increase in demand and the relaxation of its restrictions.

The new provisions, derived from Administrative Decision 951/2021, will allow airlines to reschedule according to demand. Several airlines have requested to increase their operations to Buenos Aires and resume operations in Cordoba and Mendoza in short/medium term after both airports entered the so-called “safe corridors”.

The number of daily cases is decreasing in the region, and the immunization program is increasing, allowing several countries to release their restrictions. It is essential to have the Complete Vaccination Plan and a PCR test to enter each territory for all cases.

Vaccines approved by the Argentine Government:

Florencia Carignano, National Director of Migraciones Argentina, informed that any vaccine granted by each state would be accepted, respecting the number of doses needed to complete the immunization.

With two doses: Sputnik-V, Sinovac, Sinopharm, Pfizer/BioNTech, AstraZeneca, Moderna, Covishield, Soberana 02. With a single dose: Johnson & Johnson/Janssen and CanSino. Three-dose: Abdala.

Through Administrative Decision 951/2021 of the Cabinet of Ministers, in paragraph 2 of article 1°, the measure establishes that the National Administration of Civil Aviation will increase the quota under this schedule:

From October 1 to October 3, the 2,300 daily seats will be maintained.

From October 4 to October 10 inclusive, it will increase to 21,000 weekly seats (equivalent to 3,000 daily seats).

From October 11 and until fourteen days after the country reaches the threshold of 50% of the population with full vaccination, the quota will reach 28,000 passengers per week (4,000 per day).

And as of October 19, the quota system will be completely lifted

Citizens and residents of Chile, Paraguay, Bolivia, Uruguay and Brazil will be allowed to enter the country with the complete vaccination plan as from October 1st. As from November 1st, any foreigner may enter.
