Paraguay awaits reopening with Argentina with growing expectations

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Argentina has not yet gradually opened its borders with Paraguay, so there is growing expectation for the full reopening on November 1. Marcelo Scappini, Paraguay’s Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, indicated to Gen channel and Universo radio that there is great expectation for the reopening of the border with Argentina.

“We are anxious to be able to cross to shop and visit relatives. Efforts are being made to comply 100% with all the conditions”, commented the Paraguayan authority.

He maintained that they depend exclusively on Argentina and that it is expected that on November 1, Paraguayans will be able to enter without restrictions.

Argentina reopened its borders last Friday, enabling only two routes for land crossing, with Brazil and Chile. Still, it has not yet enabled in general entry from neighboring countries, as was announced at the beginning.
