Covid-19: Argentina reports 930 new cases and 46 deaths (September 12)

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Argentina registered Sunday (12) 930 new cases of Covid-19, bringing the total number of positives to 5,224,534, while deaths rose to 113,402 after 46 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.

The figures mark a decrease from the numbers reported last Saturday when 1,490 new cases were registered.

Argentina registered a daily record number of infections last May 27, when 41,080 cases were reported, while the highest number of deaths in a single day was verified last June 22, with 792 deaths.

According to the daily report of the Ministry of Health, 5 million people have been infected and have already been discharged.

With some 45 million inhabitants, the country continues its vaccination campaign against the coronavirus, which began at the end of December last year.

According to official data released on Sunday, 46.9 million doses have been administered so far.

28.7 million people received the first dose of the vaccine, while 18.2 million people have already been inoculated with the second dose.
