RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Paraguay is experiencing an increase of tourists, for the third consecutive month, although the current numbers have not yet reached those of the pre-pandemic.
From Senatur, the Secretariat of Tourism of Paraguay, it is admitted that the current numbers are still a challenge to reach compared to the pre-pandemic scenario. However, the increase in these three consecutive months, from April to July 2021, reflects sustained growth.
The increasing numbers were recorded coinciding with the increase in vaccination levels of the national and global population and the gradual lifting of the Covid-19 restrictions.
Thus, the government of Paraguay has highlighted that these results are the direct result of joint work between the public and private sectors, taking into account the fundamental role of applying sanitary protocols approved by the Ministry of Health and international organizations.
