Tokyo 2020: With 10 medals, Brazil is already among its top 5 Olympics results

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – With the gold medal won by Rebeca Andrade on Sunday (1), the Brazilian team has won a total of 10 medals at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, reaching the same mark as in Athens in 2004.

There are already two gold, three silver, and five bronze medals in Tokyo 2020, and there are still seven days left to fight for medals. In Athens 2004, Brazil also collected 10 medals: five gold, two silver, and three bronze.

Better years were:

Sydney-2000: 12 medals (six silver and six bronze).
Atlanta-1996: 15 medals (three gold, three silver, and nine bronze).
Beijing-2008: 17 medals (three gold, four silver, and ten bronze).
London-2012: 17 medals (three gold, five silver, and nine bronze)
Rio-2016: 19 medals (seven gold, six silver, and six bronze)

Monday (2), Brazil will fight for a place on the podium in sailing; rings, floor and artistic gymnastics; and the discus in track and field.
