RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – A National Confederation of Industry (CNI) survey conducted in partnership with FSB Comunicação shows that in April, 26% of respondents were very afraid of going to restaurants or bars because of Covid-19. This percentage dropped to 17% in July.

But 38% are still very or moderately afraid of going to these venues, and 55% are still afraid of going to bars. The fear of going to shopping malls and gyms was very high for 21% of people in April, a percentage that fell to 11% this month.

In the case of supermarkets, it fell from 11% to 6%. But on average, the sum of “extremely,” “very” and “moderate” answers shows that over 45% of people are still afraid of going to any of these places.

In any case, this is an improvement over April, when the share was higher than 56%.
