Four Brazilian healthcare companies cancel IPOs; as many as 55 delistings in 2021

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Four healthcare companies have pulled out of their initial public offerings (IPOs).

Hospital Care Caledonia, Laboratório Teuto Brasileiro, Kora Saúde, and Bionexo have canceled their operations, according to the website of the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM).

This brings the total of IPO cancellations this year to 55 cases, according to CVM data.

However, the figure takes into account companies that withdrew their offerings through CVM 400 but were still able to go public with limited effort through Instruction 476.

This is the case with Dotz, Livetech, 3Tentos, Agrogalaxy, BR Partners, G2D, Infracommerce, and others.

With the withdrawals and the many companies that have managed to file their IPOs in recent weeks, the list of companies that have filed a preliminary prospectus, which had already reached more than 40 companies this year, is down to 22.

At least four offerings are expected to be priced in this week: Armac and TradersClub, this Monday (26), Brisanet (Tuesday) and Clear Sale (Wednesday).
