Hapvida buys Grupo HB Saúde in São Paulo and Hospital Dia Cetro in Bahia

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – With two acquisitions, the company continues its national expansion and growth consolidation strategy.

Hapvida on Wednesday announced agreements for two acquisitions in Brazil’s Southeast and Northeast regions totaling R$475 (US$90) million.

In São Paulo, the company signed a binding proposal to acquire up to 100% of HB Saúde group from São José do Rio Preto for R$450 million – considering all shares.

In Bahia, Hapvida subsidiary Ultra Som Serviços Médicos signed a contract for the acquisition of Hospital Dia Cetro in Alagoinha for R$25 million, in an operation that includes the land and physical plant.
