Despite their confidence in the electronic ballot box, 58% of the people heard by the survey said they agreed with the statement: “in favor of ballot boxes with printed ballots because it will generate more confidence in the results”.

Almost 35%, on the other hand, said they were “against ballot boxes with printing because the current system works well. A total of 7.1% answered that they didn’t know or didn’t want to say.

The question comes in the wake of the discussion of the Proposed Constitutional Amendment (PEC) mandating a printed vote, one of the main campaign planks of President Jair Bolsonaro; a bill is in progress in the Chamber of Deputies.

The survey also asked about the defeated candidates’ acceptance of the results of the presidential elections. In the evaluation of 55.4%, the defeated candidates will not accept the final result; for 30.5%, they will.

A total of 2022 people were interviewed between July 1st and 3rd. The survey has a margin of error of 2.2 percentage points plus or minus.

Brazilians are against the sale of state companies as a way to reduce the size of the State. This was the answer of 51% of those interviewed in the survey. A total of 27.8% of people interviewed were in favor, and 11.4% were neither for nor against.

But when the question changes to whether there is agreement with the government’s proposal to privatize some state companies and use the resources for social assistance programs, 53.4% were in favor, while 33.8% were against and 12.8% did not know or could not answer.
