Embraer’s Eve and Brazilian helicopter firm partner to develop urban air mobility services

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Eve, the first independent company created by EmbraerX, on Monday, June 7, announced it has entered into a partnership with Helisul, one of the largest helicopter operators in Latin America, to develop urban air mobility (UAM) products and services in Brazil.

The partnership also includes an order for up to 50 electric vertical take-off and landing vehicles, called eVTOLs, with delivery scheduled to begin in 2026.

Last week, Eve announced a partnership with Halo to create urban air mobility solutions in the United States and the United Kingdom. The agreement with Halo also includes an order for 200 eVTOL aircraft, also scheduled for delivery in 2026.

Eve and Helisul will start with a concept test using helicopters to validate parameters to be applied to future eVTOL operations.

In a statement released to the market, EMBRAER (EMBR3) said the partnership will develop solutions and procedures with the potential to create “a safe and scalable environment for expanding eVTOL operations, focusing on critical design aspects that cater to all users, including how to maximize accessibility and inclusion in ‘vertiports’ and eVTOL boarding operations.”

“Our partnership with Helisul will enable us to innovate Brazil’s already sizeable air taxi infrastructure and prepare it for the future of air transportation. Our team will provide comprehensive services, including urban air traffic management solutions, and benefit from the unique knowledge Helisul possesses in this market,” said Andre Stein, Eve Urban Air Mobility’s president and CEO.

Eve and Helisul have been working together for years. The two companies have been collaborating to develop urban air mobility solutions, leveraging the existing air taxi infrastructure in Brazil for use in Eve’s eVTOLs.
