RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – As of Friday, May 28, anyone wishing to be vaccinated against Covid-19 in the city of São Paulo will be required to provide proof of residence showing that they live in the city. The information was released by Mayor Ricardo Nunes at a press conference on Thursday, May 27.
New groups will be included in the vaccination list. Students in the last year of health-related courses and health workers over 18 may be vaccinated in the city. In addition to proof of residence, students need to produce a college certificate showing that they are in the last year of their course.
Vaccination of people with comorbidities and permanent disabilities registered on the Continuous Cash Benefit (BPC) will be extended through Friday and will cover everyone over 40 years of age. On Tuesday next week, June 2, the immunization will be extended to professionals in the airports of Congonhas (south zone) and Campo de Marte, in the capital’s north zone.
