Land Rover begins restoring vintage cars at its Brazilian plant in Itatiaia, RJ

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Leaving the restoration of a classic car in the hands of its manufacturer is a type of service offered by many European manufacturers and is now offered by Land Rover in Brazil. The restoration service is performed in a separate facility with a dedicated paint booth.

The Land Rover plant in Itatiaia (RJ), which assembles the Land Rover Discovery Sport, now has a dedicated space for vehicle restoration. It can accommodate 12 cars simultaneously and features equipment identical to the original, and a high-performance paint booth dedicated to restorations.

There are 6 bays solely for assembling and disassembling vehicles, and the work is performed by a team of engineers and historic car specialists dedicated to the meticulous restoration of cars. To ensure authenticity, only original parts are used.

The so-called Land Rover Restoration Clinic starts its operation this month, but has already received some cars. The first vehicle finished was a 1996 Land Rover Defender 110, which has been ready since March.

The entire bodywork, the interior of the car and its mechanics were restored. However, before execution, the company meets with owners to understand their particularities, history, and preferences.

Clients interested in the restoration services may get in touch by phone (21) 97251-2963 or by e-mail [email protected]. A guided tour to the Land Rover plant and to the Restoration Clinic facilities is also available.
