70-year-old company takes advantage of booming industry to generate R$3 billion in revenues

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The pandemic does not seem to have impacted the truck sector, which between January and March, grew 29.5% in relation to the same period in 2020. As did the road equipment segment (i.e. dumptrucks and trailers, for example).

Facchini, one of the largest companies in the industry, expects growth of up to 35% this year alone.

Founded in 1950 in Votuporanga (SP) by Euclides Facchini – former carpenter of the EFA, Araraquara Railroad – the business that bears the family’s surname began by producing carts.

Only the following year, in 1951, the first wooden dumptruck was built. And, to this day, the command is in the hands of children and grandchildren, as there is no outside investment.
