According to the journalist, many international artists and bands are already canceling their concerts for the second semester because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, depending on the development of this wave of cancellations, Rock in Rio may be compromised.

So far, the event’s organizers have not announced any changes, but as stated in the note confirming the festival’s staging, the health situation and the vaccination rate are being followed.

Moreover, before the note confirming the event was released, the Rock in Rio organizers said that there had been no change in plans in relation to holding the festival and that, therefore, the event was maintained for the initially scheduled dates.

Rock in Rio 2021 is scheduled for two weekends: September 24th to 26th, and September 30th to October 3rd. For this year’s edition, the first line-up has already been announced: on September 24th, the City of Rock will host Iron Maiden, Sepultura, Orquestra Sinfônica Brasileira, Dream Theater and Megadeth.
