RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Actress Nicette Bruno died on Sunday morning, December 20th, at the age of 87. She was hospitalized with Covid-19 in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Casa de Saúde São José, in Humaitá, South Zone of Rio de Janeiro.
According to the medical report released on Saturday, Nicette’s state of health “was considered very critical”. She was sedated and dependent on mechanical ventilation.
Her death was confirmed by the hospital at around 1:20 PM. According to Casa de Saúde São José she died of “complications from Covid-19”.
“Casa de Saúde São José reports that actress Nicette Bruno, who had been in hospital since November 26th, 2020, died today at 11:40 AM due to complications from Covid-19. The hospital expresses its deepest condolences to her family at this time,” says the hospital’s statement.
