The park, which preserves one of the largest urban forests in Brazil, reopened partially to visitors in July, but kept waterfalls and lookouts closed.

With the clearance, all lookouts reopened yesterday, except for Dona Marta and Cascatinha. The waterfalls are also cleared, with the exception of Cascatinha and the natural showers located on the Redentor road.

The top of the trails will be open for viewing, but a mask must be worn and crowds prevented (a rule that applies to the whole park). At Pedra Bonita, visitors are allowed only during the week and during park opening hours (8 AM to 5 PM).

Vehicle access is still banned, with the exception of access to the Serra da Carioca sector (Silvestre guardhouse). Events and access to all outdoor areas, such as picnic and barbecue areas, are also banned.
