Brazil Records 165 New Deaths in 24 Hours; Death Toll Stands at 2,906 (April 22nd)

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Brazil has recorded 165 new deaths from the novel coronavirus over the past 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health released on Wednesday, April 22nd. In total, there are 2,906 deaths by Covid-19 in the country.

The portfolio’s report also shows a total of 45,757 confirmed cases of the disease.

There were 2,741 deaths and 43,079 confirmed cases of the disease the preceding day.

However, the Ministry has reported that the actual number of cases tends to be higher since only hospitalized patients are tested and there are cases waiting to be confirmed.
