Brazilian and Portuguese Hackers Expose 100 Pedophilia Websites

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The CyberTeam hackers, comprised of Portuguese and Brazilian hackers, have ‘invaded’ the official websites of ten cities in the Brazilian state of Paraíba in recent days to denounce an international pedophilia network.

To La Repubblica, the leader of CyberTeam, who signs up as Spy_Unkn0wn on Twitter, assured that the attack was aimed at forcing the authorities to intervene.

According to the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, the institutional websites targeted by the attack have been redesigned so that not only Internet pages that allegedly promote child pornography show up, but also the names, addresses and other data of pedophiles.

To La Repubblica, the leader of CyberTeam, who signs up as Spy_Unkn0wn on Twitter, assured that the attack was aimed at forcing the authorities to intervene. “We’ve already informed the police and some local authorities, but they haven’t even replied,” he said.

The group of hackers, to which at least one Portuguese belongs, had already announced on Twitter, last January 27th, that it was going to denounce several pedophiles who act online.

To this ‘mission’ the CyberTeam called #OPPedoGate. In a brief Twitter search, one can see ‘prints’ of some of the websites of Brazilian cities that, however, have already returned to their original format, changed by hackers.

Also according to what the group leader told La Repubblica, the exposed pedophilia sites have ‘addresses’ in Russia, Ukraine, Japan, Africa, and even the USA. Some are hosted on the Dark Web, while others are accessible to anyone.

The sites offered a variety of services, some paid and some free-of-charge and without any kind of registration. Some contain videos and images of children being abused, others contain erotic stories with under-age children. There are also photos of children sleeping and playing with each other, most likely stolen from their parents’ social media, which were taken innocently but are being marketed by pedophiles.

Most of the websites are promoted as “model agencies for teenagers and several as nudist associations”, discloses the Italian newspaper.

In January, the same group of hackers raided the website of the Portuguese Football Referee Association (APAF) to defend Portuguese hacker Rui Pinto.
