Among the Brazilian terminals, Guarulhos Airport (SP) showed the best performance, ranking fourth in the Mega category, behind only the airports of Detroit (USA), Minneapolis/St Paul (USA) and Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen (Turkey), listed as the most punctual on the planet.

In addition to Guarulhos, the airports of Brasília (4th place) and Congonhas – SP, 12th) stood out among the Large airports classification.

The terminals of Fortaleza (11th) and Curitiba (18th), in the Small airports category were also highlighted.

In the Medium airports category, the terminals for Recife (7th), Rio de Janeiro – Galeão (9th), Belo Horizonte – Confins (10th) and Rio de Janeiro – Santos Dumont (15th) were highlighted.

The British consulting company assessed 57.7 million flight departures and the 250 airlines that flew the most in 2019. The OAG’s criterion for ranking a flight as punctual is taking off or landing with a lateness factor of less than 15 minutes, including canceled flights that reduce the company’s or airport’s punctuality.
