Both in the library and in Campo de Santana (a park next to the library), there will be several areas for reading experiences, writing workshops and round tables, as well as plays, exhibitions and musical performances.

Among the authors invited to this year’s edition are Luis Fernando Veríssimo, Zuenir Ventura, Paulo Lins, Mary Del Priori, Miriam Leitão and Lourenço Mutarelli.

“We consider this to be the largest open cultural event, because it is free, it is accessible to everyone, it strives to include all voices, all audiences. This year, we are continuing a tradition that began last year, which is to rehabilitate the city through reading, through culture,” said Julio Silveira, curator of the Rio Book Show.

The event starts at 10 AM every day and extends until 7 PM in Campo de Santana and 9 PM in the State Park Library.
