Brazil Guarantees First Place at the Parapan-American Games Medal Table

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The Brazilian delegation has assured its first place ranking on the medal table at the Parapan American Games in Lima.

The 6th Parapan-American Games ended on Sunday, September 1st, in the capital of Peru with the Brazilian delegation in the first place.

Brazilians have won 124 gold, 99 silver, and 85 bronze medals, for a total of 308 medals.

The U.S. delegation is in second place with 58 gold medals and Mexico came third with 55 gold medals.

On Friday, Aug. 30th, Brazil won 15 gold medals, including 5 for soccer. The Brazilian national team has won the gold medal in this sport since the 1999 Pan American Games.

Brazil won medals in the Rio-2007, Guadalajara-2011, Toronto-2015, and now Lima-2019 Games.

The 6th Parapan-American Championship ended on Sunday, September 1st, in the capital of Peru.
