RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – On Wednesday, July 17th, Google Maps begins providing real-time information on bicycle sharing in 24 cities around the world, including São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
Through the system, users may locate bicycle stations and determine how many are available near them.
It is also possible to determine whether there is available space at a station near the destination where the bike will be dropped off, according to Google.
The cities currently served are: Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels, Budapest, Chicago, Dublin, Hamburg, Helsinki, Kaohsiung, London, Los Angeles, Lyon, Madrid, Mexico City, Montreal, New Taipei City, New York, Rio de Janeiro, San Francisco Bay Area, São Paulo, Toronto, Vienna, Warsaw, and Zürich.
