RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Flybondi, an Argentinian airline that uses a low-cost model, will start operating in Brazil in October of this year.
According to the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), the company will begin its activities with three weekly flights between the cities of Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro.
The authorization for Flybondi to start its international operations in Brazil was granted by ANAC, during the meeting of the agency’s board of directors earlier this week.
The measure is the final step for a foreign company to start regular flights in Brazil and allows the company to register the routes and start selling tickets.
According to ANAC, Flybondi will be the third low-cost airline to fly in the country, after the start of operations of Chilean Sky Airline and European Norwegian.
