We have the top three picks for this Saturday, and below there is a list of bars and lounges that are always a good option.

PARTY:
Sambotica + Samba Que Elas Querem @ BCo. (Santo Cristo) – After filling up the Largo do Boticário with samba and a super energetic crowd, Sambotica are now bringing the party to B.co, in Santo Cristo, in what is sure to be a special night for Brazilian music lovers.

This evening will feature live music from Samba Que Elas Querem! plus DJ sets from DJ So Lyma and TropiCals

Tickets are between R$8-R$30 and the night gets going at 9PM.

PARTY:
Quilombaile @ Beco dos Carmelitas (Lapa) – This is the first edition of Quilombaile, bringing lots of love, music, and a celebration of black Brazilian culture in co-operation with Mercado Afroimaginarte, Saravá Bien and Circuito Lapa-Tiradentes.

The DJ line-up for tonight is as follows: Tales Mulatu (Quilombike), Léo Gonzaga (Quilombike), Dj Rainha Crespa (Afrofuturist Block), Wendel Tavares (LAFON) and Bieta Prod (AFOXÉ BLACK).

This free party starts at 10PM.

PARTY:
Bloco das POC @ Cordão da Bola Preta (Lapa) – This bloco was born at Carnival 2019 with three mega editions on the street where over 60,000 people enjoyed the inclusive, glitter-heavy, pop-friendly crowd. To coincide with Lollapalooza Brasil, this is Pocpalooza.

There will be plenty of free shots, a ton of glitter, plus much more. The DJ line-up includes Tom Mauza (Wallpaper), Duda Olïve (Manda Nudes) and Raphael Great GUY (guest DJ), and they will be playing everything from Britney Spears to Florence and the Machine to Beyonce and beyond.

Tickets are free until 12:30AM or up to R$30 otherwise; the party starts at 11:30PM.

Winehouse (Botafogo)
Winehouse is a wine bar run by a British expat that has brought an eclectic range of wines to Rio including a mix of fabulous national wines and international favorites. There is also a great selection of nibbles and cheese boards. For those that aren’t too keen on wine, there is plenty of beer and cocktail options too. Happy hour begins at 5PM and finishes at 8PM.

Void/House of Food (Botafogo)
Blending culinary, drinks and fashion, the bar/store invites a different chef to prepare a new menu every week. Besides great imported beer labels, it usually serves delicious veggie food and homemade burgers.

Pavão Azul (Copacabana)
Pavão Azul is a lively bar in Copacabana, famous for its exceptionally cold beers and prawn pastels. It gets crowded there every night, making every day of the week seem like the weekend.

Canastra Bar (Ipanema)
The Canastra Wine Bar in Ipanema offers a great selection of wines and cheeses and is quickly becoming known for its nice atmosphere and friendly service.

Blue Agave (Ipanema)
Blue Agave Ipanema is always a great place for Mexican food, drinks and for watching live sport streams and broadcasts. Just around the corner from Posto 9, the bar is also known for its mostly English-speaking staff and crowd which frequents the establishment. Be sure to check out Blue Agave in Copacabana also for a great night out.
