Festa MUG @ Cordão da Bola Preta (Lapa) – More Carnival? Festa MUG don’t seem to have gotten the message that Carnival is over, or they did but they don’t care! This is another Carnival ‘ressaca’ (hangover) party, for those who still want to dance until glitter comes out of their pores.
The DJs for the night will be Dani Vieira and Marcelo Paes.
Tickets are between R$10-R$40 and the night gets going at 11PM.

Gerson King Combo & Supergroove @ Blue Note Rio (Lagoa) – He has already danced for James Brown in person, has already played in Wilson Simonal’s band and released plenty of seminal albums.
Friday, March 15, the King of Brazilian Soul returns to the city of Rio de Janeiro for an unprecedented show, where he revisits his entire career, playing a varied selecation from his stellar back-catalogue. Classics of the seventies such as ‘Mandamentos Black,’ ‘Good Bye’ and ‘Funk Brother Soul,’ will be interspersed with newer tunes such as ‘Soul da Paz’ and ‘Deixe sair o suor.’ Completing the repertoire will be some tributes to the masters Tim Maia and James Brown.
The performance should begin at 10:30PM and tickets are available from R$90.

Reunião Para Cometer Novos Erros @ Bar Bukowski (Botafogo) – ‘Life without mistakes would be a real drag…’ That is the message of this latest night from Bar Bukowski.
There will be free entrance until 8:30PM. Karaoke with a prize of R$500 for the best singer of the night and the possibility of winning a show produced by the people here in the bar at the end of the year. Plus a raffle for a romantic dinner and another for a tinder date! It would seem that there are plenty more mistakes to be made.
After 8:30PM tickets are R$35 and the doors open at 6:30PM.
