PARTY:
Bloco Saymos Do Egyto @ Arco do Teles (Centro) – This is the first rehearsal for the ‘bloco’ (street party) Saymos Do Egypto, where the bloco band will play and guest DJs will keep the party going until late.

Live music will come courtesy of Dani Pinheiro, Eliza Leão, Ingrid Barbosa, Ana Beatriz Viturino, Carina Rocha and Dani Ramalho. Plus there will be DJ sets courtesy of DJ Guilherme St (Resident), DJ Vitor Mencarelli (TRETA), and DJ Duda Olïve (MANDA NUDES). Expect plenty of golden glitter, pop, axé, funk, afoxé, samba and MPB.

This free party will begin at 5PM.

LIVE:
Samba Teresa @ Mansão Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa) – An evening of live samba courtesy of Samba do Xoxó at a beautiful location complete with stunning views of Rio de Janeiro.

There is also a swimming pool where guests are free to take a dip, plus DJ Cyro Novello will be spinning some tunes after the live music.

Tickets are between R$10 – R$30 and this event begins at 4PM.

15a Edição da Feira Cultural @ Praça Cruz Vermelha (Lapa) – Come and enjoy the Pre-Carnival Praça Cruz Vermelha Cultural Fair, at what is sure to be a stimulating way to spend a laid-back Sunday afternoon and evening.

There will be plenty of great live music, local gastronomy, super cold draft beer all brought to this bohemian location direct from the producer.

This free event will start at 10AM but will run on to 7PM.

Sunday afternoon drinking whilst eating salgadinhos and watching the sunset at Bar Urca is a regular pastime in Rio de Janeiro. This simple establishment on the bayside has been a hit since 1939.

Blue Agave (Ipanema)
Just around the corner from Posto 9, Blue Agave Ipanema is also known for its mostly English-speaking staff and the international crowd which frequents the establishment. Be sure to check out Blue Agave in Copacabana also for a great night out.
