We have the top three picks for this Thursday, and below there is a list of bars and lounges that are always a good option.

LIVE:
Rolling Stones Tribute @ The Rock Bar (Jardim Botânico) – This Thursday The Rock Bar will be welcoming André Spring who is playing an intimate pre-show acoustic gig outside of the bar to accompany the beautiful weather. There will also be a two-for-one deal on Heineken, Moscow Mules and shots of Jack Daniels until 10PM.

Then there will be a live tribute show, courtesy of Black Monkees, to the legends of British rock ‘n’ roll, The Rolling Stones. After the show, DJ Careca will take over and keep the party going well into the early hours.

This night is free entry and doors open at 8PM.

DRINKS:
Gin & Tonic Mixology Festival @ Planetário da Gávea (Gávea) – This Thursday is the premiere night for the Gin & Tonic Mixology Festival that will be taking place all weekend at the gorgeous Planetário da Gávea.

Along with all the great tasting opportunities, drinks mixed by some of the top mixologists in Brazil, and plenty more fun, there will be DJ sets courtesy of DJ Lucce and his friends, as well as more music from Cacau Porto and Johnny Green.

This event is free as long as you sign up online and it should begin at 6PM.

PARTY:
Veneno Disco Club @ Casa da Matriz (Botafogo) – The most classic alternative Thursday in the city is back to warm your summer even more! With more than 13 years of parties to their name and more than 600 editions of this classic, it’s fair to say that a fun time is almost guaranteed.

There will be plenty of rock, indie, pop, eighties and nineties hits courtesy of DJ Beto Artista and friends.

Tickets are between R$0-R$50 and the night gets going at 11PM.

Casa Momus (Lapa)

Pavão Azul (Copacabana)

Blue Agave (Ipanema)
Blue Agave in Ipanema is a great place for Mexican food, strong drinks and watching the latest domestic and international sports. They have English-speaking staff and is a popular expat hangout in Ipanema. Be sure to check out Blue Agave in Copacabana also for a great night out.

Flashback (Ipanema)
Flashback is a high-end restaurant with plenty of classical music and photos decorating the walls. Tonight, between 7PM and 9PM the restaurant will serve a happy hour with two for one on caipivodkas and Stella Artois. The caipivodkas are made fresh with either lime, strawberry or passionfruit as well as additional herbs added in for a taste explosion.
