LIVE:
Deu Samba @ Rio Scenarium (Lapa) – Rio Scenarium presents ‘Deu Samba’ a project that seeks to bring the best of Rio’s ‘rodas da samba’ (samba circles) into the one of the most traditional venues in Rio.

This evening they will have live performances from Alan Rocha and Roda do Sambastião, followed by a DJ set from DJ Gustavo Brasil. In addition, the Rio Scenarium ‘open bar’ will be happening from 7-8PM with offers on beer and caipirinha 51.

This evening will begin at 7PM and tickets cost between R$20-R$35.

LIVE:
Stone Trio @ Lapa Irish Pub (Lapa) – The Stone Trio will be playing a special live set at the Irish Pub in Lapa tonight. Their set list consists of a lot of classic rock: think Hendrix, The Beatles and The Doors.

The Stone Trio will be offering their classic concoction of rock, psychedelia and the blues, providing incendiary versions of hits from the sixties and seventies. They are Kadu Mota (guitar and vocals), Paulo Emmery Madeira (bass), and Lucas Leão (drums).

Tickets are between R$15 – R$20 and the night should get going at 9PM.

Folakemi Duo @ Marchezinho Café (Leblon) – To close the year the Marchezinho Café in Leblon presents one of its famous Marchezinho sessions. This time they will receive singer Folakemi who will be accompanied by bassist Marco Bombom to perform soul, jazz, and classic blues tunes.

Known for having a unique voice, which easily evokes the sounds of the immortal jazz divas, Folakemi decided to leave London and take up her professional career as a singer in Brazil. She is currently working on her first album, with the first single from that album having been released in October this year: ‘Just Once’ is available on YouTube and major streaming platforms.

This event is free and it begins at 6PM.

Blue Agave (Ipanema)
Blue Agave in Ipanema is a great place for Mexican food, strong drinks and watching the latest domestic and international sports. They have English-speaking staff and is a popular expat hangout in Ipanema. Be sure to check out Blue Agave in Copacabana also for a great night out.

Flashback (Ipanema)
Flashback is a high-end restaurant with plenty of classical music and photos decorating the walls. Tonight, between 7PM and 9PM the restaurant will serve a happy hour with two for one on caipivodkas and Stella Artois. The caipivodkas are made fresh with either lime, strawberry or passionfruit as well as additional herbs added in for a taste explosion.
