LIVE:
Sofar Rio @ Mystery Location (Santa Teresa) – Sofar (Songs from a room) Sounds is a project that presents the magic of live music through intimate shows put on in unusual environments.

It’s a unique event where participants can enjoy an experience full of good music, while also getting in close proximity to the musicians, finding new places in the city and also enjoying the experience of a real surprise while in the comfort of a crowd of like-minded people.

Sofar Sounds performs secret surprise shows.

They do not release the identity of the bands or performers before the event.

The address of the location is only revealed 48 hours prior to the event and only to confirmed participants.

This Sofar Sounds event will be starting at 7:30PM in the neighborhood of Santa Teresa, with three to five bands or artists each playing a set of around twenty minutes.

Tickets are priced at R$35 for entrance to Sofar Rio and R$40 for entrance to Sofar Rio plus one Eco Copo (Eco Cup).

Sofar Sounds started in London in 2009 and has been taking place in Rio de Janeiro since 2012.

DRINKS:
Rodízio de Vinhos @ Serrado Vinhos & Bistrô (Laranjeiras) – Serrado Vinhos & Bistrô are currently running a ‘Rodízio’ of wines every Tuesday, with a cast of ten different wines for customers to taste at a fixed price of R$110 per person (or R$95 with a reservation).

In true ‘Rodízio’ style, they have dessert wines, red wines, white wines, rosés and sparkling wines of different styles and from different countries all available to try by the glass. This is a great opportunity to try wines that you wouldn’t usually and to find new favorites.

This event is currently happening every Tuesday from 7:30PM-10:30PM

LIVE:
Aos Novos Compositores @ Beco do Rato (Lapa) – The Cultural Project ‘Aos Novos Compositores’ (For New Composers) is a project for original samba compositions and unpublished works that takes place twice per month, always on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month.

The event aims to invigorate the samba scene of Rio by premiering works of new composers who are not yet known to the mainstream music world.

In a charming corner of Joaquim Silva, in Lapa, since 2005, Beco do Rato has established its reputation as a place of good music, culture, friendly people, personalities, cold beer and great tidbits. In charge of the bar is Márcio Pacheco, also responsible for the best samba roda (samba circle) in Rio, Samba Luzia.

This event is free and begins at 7PM.

Dida Bar e Restaurante (Tijuca)
Specialized in Afro-Brazilian and African food, Bar da Dida is a great option for authentic, soulful food one cannot find in any corner. Make sure to try one of its finger food that have already participated in the “Comida di Boteco” contest.
