The Rio Times, Nightlife Guide, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Nightlife, Bars, Clubs, Parties

We have the top three picks for this Sunday, and below there is a list of bars and lounges that are always a good option.

LIVE:
El Miraculoso SambaJazz @ Praia Vermelha (Urca) – On the last Sunday of the month this classic event is taking place again on the beautiful Praia Vermelha (Red Beach) in Urca.

El Miraculoso SambaJazz are a popular local group who inject their unique groove into the Brazilian and international songbook, reinterpreting and remixing classics from bossa nova, jazz, blues and rock. Expect to hear ‘Girl from Ipanema’ as you’ve never heard it before.

They are Jefferson Moreira, guitar; Gabriel Barbosa, drums; Marcos Luz, bass; Pablo Beato, trombone; Henrique Vaz, trumpet.

There will also be food trucks and craft beer and much more to keep everyone happy as the sun goes down in this idyllic spot. This is a very family friendly event, great for anyone with children who still wants to have a dance and keep the kids happy.

This live performance is also nearby the famous Bar Urca, where people can carry on the festivities and squeeze the last out of the weekend.

This event starts at 4PM and should be finished by 7PM, so it’s more of an early nightlife pick, for a lazy Sunday.
