LIVE:
Stefano Moliner @ Blue Note Rio (Lagoa) – Stefano Moliner steps onto the legendary Blue Note stage tonight.

Born in São Caetano do Sul and educated at the Conservatory of Drama and Music of Tatui, with a career spanning 25 years in São Paulo and on the national circuit, Stefano Moliner has developed a diverse work in a broad range of musical styles, mixing MPB, samba, jazz, blues and soul.

Though all his works are based on a visceral, instrumental jazz, full of improvisations.

Tonight, Stefano Moliner will be previewing his new CD album ‘Sistole,’ with an official release planned for the end of July.

‘Sistole’ is the artist’s first album, in it he arranges and organizes six compositions that bring multiple musical references inspired by diverse lines of spiritual thought around the world.

In addition to Stefano (bass) the group is formed by Eliezer Ignácio (Guitar), Ivan de Castro (drums), Saulo Martins (Piano) Thomaz Souza, Cássio Ferreira and Lucas Macedo (Saxophone). In the show, in addition to the six songwriting themes, the group will be reinterpreting jazz standards and soul songs both Brazilian and international.

PARTY:
We Party! @ Fosfobox (Copacabana) – This Thursday is the second edition of ‘We Party!’ at Fosfobox, with free entry before 1AM as long as you get your name on the event wall.

‘Thursday is pop day!’ according to ‘We Party!’ This will be a chance to warm up to the weekend with lots of pop, funk and electronic. In addition to the complimentary entrance, ‘We Party!’ have also prepared a special menu with many promos in the bar.

The line up is as follows: MV, Linnê, Beto Artist, Fernando Castilho, Afonso Feijó and Guilherme St.

LIVE:
Talagada Fina @ Zion Botafogo (Botafogo) – Located on the beach of Botafogo, Zion is preparing a night of great music and culture.

Founded in 2017 and driven by the experience of its musicians, the trio Talagada Fina is dedicated to presenting contemporary re-interpretaions of great artists. The band includes in its repertoire songs like ‘Espumas ao Vento’ (Spray of the Wind) Lamento Sertanejo, Sanfona Sentida, Pau de Arara and Besame Mucho.

Formed by the musicians André Bitto (voice and accordion), Dani Câmara (voice and triangle) and Felipe Lemos (voice, zabumba, tambourine and handpan), Talagada Fina are a truly out of the ordinary band: musical arrangements are created with varied instruments, including the handpan, a Swiss instrument that draws attention wherever it goes.

Winehouse (Botafogo)
Winehouse is a wine bar run by a British expat that has brought an eclectic range of wines to Rio including a mix of fabulous national wines and international favorites. There is also a great selection of nibbles and cheese boards. For those that aren’t too keen on wine, there is plenty of beer and cocktail options too. Happy hour begins at 5PM and finishes at 8PM.

Pub Escondido (Copacabana)
Those into the pub atmosphere will also love Pub Escondido, a discrete venue with premium beer labels, modern design and a really cool vibe. The pub offers 24 different beer taps, which includes the house’s draught beer, Escondido Weiss, made of wheat.

Blue Agave (Ipanema)
Blue Agave Ipanema is a great place for good Mexican food, drinks and live sports. It also has English-speaking staff and is a popular expat hangout. Be sure to check out Blue Agave in Copacabana also for a great night out.

Yndú Lounge (Leblon)
With chilled out vibes during the week and a selection of top DJs playing shows at the weekends, the newly-opened Yndú Lounge in Ipanema is a great option to kick back. With a selection of drinks and tapas, the bar is quickly becoming one of Leblon’s best watering holes.
