We have the top three picks for this Thursday, and below there is a list of bars and lounges that are always a good option.

LIVE:
Amy Winehouse Tribute @ Jack Daniel’s Rock Bar (Gávea) – The ‘London Calling’ series at Jack Daniel’s Rock Bar continues to honor the greatest hits of great English bands and tonight is dedicated to one of the greatest names of all time: Amy Winehouse.

The singer Lica Tito will have this great responsibility on Thursday night, proving that she’s more than capable of filling the Queen of Camden’s pumps, while DJ Mary Lou will be responsible for the tribute set that will keep people dancing into the early morning.

The show starts at 8PM and is free!

PARTY:
Bombástic (Lapa) – This party is famous for playing all the hits from Rio funk to hip hop to reggaeton. From 11PM the doors open and there are free caipirinhas until midnight.

DJ Slim and his friends are providing the soundtrack and Pub Kriok in Lapa is hosting.

With three floors, two air-conditioned club rooms, two bars serving local and international drinks, as well as a smoking area inside the venue, plus lighting effects and LED screens, this will be a night not to miss.

With its location in Lapa, there are plenty of bars to visit before entering, as this is known as one of Rio’s most bohemian neighborhoods.

Bombástic prides itself on being an open and democratic nightclub experience and they stress that everyone is welcome, no matter who you are or what you wear.

LIVE:
Hashtag 3 @ Botto Bar (Botafogo) – The trio formed by Kadu Menezes, Bruno Migliari and Andre Gimaranz brings a lot of soul, R & B, funk and classic rock, all with their trademark style.

Botto Bar are well-known for putting on high-quality live acts such as this group.

Kadu Menezes is a musical producer and drummer of weight, playing with names like Kid Bee, Lobão, Leo Jaime, among others.

Bruno Migliari has accompanied Frejat for 17 years, as well as other great names in Brazilian music, such as Ivan Lins and Simone.

Andre Gimaranz acted as a session musician in the USA for 15 years, as well as composing for film and TV.

Together, they should put on quite a show! The show starts at 8PM and tickets are R$20.

Winehouse (Botafogo)
Winehouse is a wine bar run by a British expat that has brought an eclectic range of wines to Rio including a mix of fabulous national wines and international favorites. There is also a great selection of nibbles and cheese boards. For those that aren’t too keen on wine, there is plenty of beer and cocktail options too. Happy hour begins at 5PM and finishes at 8PM.

Pub Escondido (Copacabana)
Those into the pub atmosphere will also love Pub Escondido, a discrete venue with premium beer labels, modern design and a really cool vibe. The pub offers 24 different beer taps, which includes the house’s draught beer, Escondido Weiss, made of wheat.

Blue Agave (Ipanema)
Blue Agave Ipanema is a great place for good Mexican food, drinks and live sports. It also has English-speaking staff and is a popular expat hangout. Be sure to check out Blue Agave in Copacabana also for a great night out.

Yndú Lounge (Leblon)
With chilled out vibes during the week and a selection of top DJs playing shows at the weekends, the newly-opened Yndú Lounge in Ipanema is a great option to kick back. With a selection of drinks and tapas, the bar is quickly becoming one of Leblon’s best watering holes.
