PARTY:
Back to Bunker @ Bar do B (Laranjeiras) – Back to Bunker is a great alternative rock night out. DJ Buba brings back the biggest tunes and guest of the last three years (2003-2006) in which Paranoid Android was the resident party of the acclaimed and now extinct Bunker94.

The Set List will include all the classic indie, rock and alternative songs from 2003-2006, including Garbage, Placebo, Arctic Monkeys, The Killers, Radiohead, Muse, The Strokes, Arcade Fire, The Hives, New Order, Kaiser Chiefs, The Cure, Franz Ferdinand, Blur, Weezer, Interpol, Hot Chip, Keane, Miss Kittin, Prodigy, Smashing Pumpkins, REM, The Smiths, Stone Temple Pilots, The Cranberries, Roxette, Suede, New Order, Siouxie and The Banshees, Joy Division, Depeche Mode, PJ Harvey, Hot Chip, among many others …

Tickets are between R$15-R$20 and the night will kick off at around 11PM.

PARTY:
Sexta Funk Universitária @ New Mariuzinn (Copacabana) – Friday is funk night at New Mariuzinn Copacabana.

There will be an open bar until 4AM, offering drinks such as vodka and juice, caipirinhas, beers and much more.

There are also deals including a double dosage of Budweiser and a double dosage of Chandon for the price of one.

Mariuzinn veteren DJ D’Luccio will be playing funk tune after funk tune. Expect lots of crazy dancing!

Tickets are between R$20-R$80 and look out for special offers on the VIP area and much more. Things should kick off at around 11PM and the night won’t stop until 5AM. So bring your dancing shoes, prepare to shake something and see in the weekend to the sound of Rio: funk!

MÚSICA BRASILEIRA:
Karaokê do Agita Samba @ Botequim Bate-Papo (Leblon) – This Friday, Botequim Bate-Papo is hosting Samba Errejota, which will include a special karaokê show from Grupo Agita Samba at the best and most lively samba club in Zona Sul (South Zone).

Grupo Agita Samba will be the main attraction of the night, while DJ Alan Carpenter will be spinning some hip hop, sertanejo, brasilian music and funk during the intervals.

Keep a look out for the various bar promotions, including a double dose caipirinha until 11PM, incredible discounts on beers all night and vodka combo promotions.

Agita Samba are well-known for putting on a frenetic and contemporary samba show that is bound to get everyone dancing, and with the added twist of karaokê, this is sure to be a special night out.

Tickets are between R$10-R$35 and the fun should start at around 9PM.

Winehouse (Botafogo)
Winehouse is a wine bar run by a British expat that has brought an eclectic range of wines to Rio including a mix of fabulous national wines and international favorites. There is also a great selection of nibbles and cheese boards. For those that aren’t too keen on wine, there is plenty of beer and cocktail options too. Happy hour begins at 5PM and finishes at 8PM.

Void/ House of Food (Botafogo)
Blending culinary, drinks and fashion, the bar/store invites a different chef to prepare a new menu every week. Besides great imported beer labels, it usually serves delicious veggie food and homemade burgers.

Pavão Azul (Copacabana)
Pavão Azul is a lively bar in Copacabana, famous for its exceptionally cold beers and prawn pastels. It gets crowded there every night, making every day of the week seem like the weekend.

Canastra Bar (Ipanema)

Blue Agave Ipanema (Ipanema)
Blue Agave Ipanema is always a great place for Mexican food, drinks and for watching live sport streams and broadcasts. Just around the corner from Posto 9, the bar is also known for its mostly English-speaking staff and the mostly English-speaking crowd which frequents the establishment. Be sure to check out Blue Agave in Copacabana also for a great night out.
