Nas Asas da Canção de Ivone Lara (Madureira) – This Saturday, the “Afro Brazilian sanctuary” Casa do Jongo, at Morro da Serrinha, in Madureira, reopens after three months in style, with live samba music.
Apart from the tribute to composer Dona Ivone Lara by the “roda de samba”, Casa do Jongo will also host diverse attractions such as Afoxé Filhos de Gandhi, Teresa Cristina, Pretinho da Serrinha, Rio Maracatu, Paulão Sete Cordas, and Cordão do Boi Tatá in the Casa do Jongo.
