Tambores de Olokun (Aterro do Flamengo) – One of the most hyped carnival blocs among Carioca youngsters, Tambores do Olokun starts to warm up for Carnival 2018, and the next rehearsal happens this Sunday at Aterro do Flamengo.
Starting at 4PM, the bloc brings a repertoire dedicated to Afro Brazilian rhythms, specially Maracatu, from Pernambuco (Brazil’s Northeast).

Sambotica (Cosme Velho) – The Sambotica will bring the the best “roda de samba” to the charming Largo do Boticário this afternoon, in Cosme Velho.
Starting at 4PM, the free outdoor presentation will gather eight musicians who will bring special renditions of samba classics. Group Pim Pim Pom will be opening Sambotica’s show.

Jazz na Rua (Largo do Machado) – The “Jazz na Rua” project arrives in Largo do Machado this afternoon with great outdoor live jazz music.
DJ Carola opens the event at 4:30 PM, spinning some swing jazz. At 5:15 PM, there will be free Lindy Hop classes with dancers Cinthia Addams e Guido Alberti. Following, DJ Thais will play until 7PM.
