Colombian-American DJ Erick Morillo to Perform in Rio on New Year’s Eve

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – On December 31st, prestigious entertainment group Cafe de La Musique will promote a New Year’s Eve party at Sociedade Hípica Brasileira (Brazil’s Horse Society), in Lagoa. Selected international and Brazilian artists will perform at “Reveillon Cafe de la Musique Rio”, which will take place in one of the most exclusive venues in Rio de Janeiro.

Considered one of the best house music DJs in the world, Colombian-American Erick Morillo will be back on December 31st after a successful performance at Rock in Rock 2017, photo internet recreation.

Organized in partnership with groups Hug Entertainment and Party Industry, this New Year’s celebration will bring nine of the best DJs to spin in two different dance floors.

Running the outdoor floor will be Santa Clara DJ Set, Yasmin, Leo Paes Leme, Rafa M and Felipe Guga. Representing the band “Samba de Santa Clara”, Santa Clara DJ Set will play Brazilian music, especially samba songs by composer Jorge Ben Jor. DJ Leo Paes Leme will bring his eclectic setlist of indie rock, electronic and black music, while Felipe Guga will make everyone dance with the best hip hop hits.

In charge of the indoor floor will be the party’s main attraction, DJ Erick Morillo. After driving the Carioca audience crazy at Rock in Rio 2017, the Colombian-American DJ will return to Rio on December 31st to spin the hottest from international house music. Owner of the world famous song “I Like to Move It”, Morillo has already been awarded as best house DJ and best international DJ several times.

Besides Morillo, the indoor floor’s line-up still includes DJs Voight, Etto and João Brasil. While the first two DJs will present a set of electronic music, João Brasil stands out for his unusual mashups, blending The Beatles with Carioca funk music, for example.

The party’s menu will be signed by chef Pedro Benoliel, whose benchmark is the Brazilian popular culinary. What’s more, the audience will have the opportunity to appreciate an exclusive fireworks’ spectacle, to happen at the Rodrigo de Freitas’ lagoon.

Inspired in the best dining clubs from places like Monaco, Cannes, New York and The Hamptons, the Cafe de La Musique was inaugurated in São Paulo 12 years ago. Today, “Cafe” promotes parties all over Brazil with the most renowned artists from the international electronic music scene.
