Wednesday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – In this holiday eve, Blue Note Rio, in Lagoa, hosts a world class jazz show with Brazilian cello player Jaques Morelenbaum and Cape Verdian singer Mayra Andrade, at 8PM.
Together, Andrade and Morelenbaum will present an ecletic repertoire to the audience, visiting musical genres like samba, bossa nova, jazz, MPB, among others.
Inaugurated last week, Blue Note Rio is the Carioca branch of New York’s Blue Note, considered by many the most important jazz house in the world.

Flashback is a wonderful high-end restaurant with plenty of classical music and photos decorating the walls. Tonight, between 7PM and 9PM the restaurant will serve a happy hour with two for one on caipivodkas and Stella Artois.
