Friday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Tonight Fundição Progresso in Lapa will host a new edition of the reggae and rap festival, “Encontro das Tribos.”
During the night the Porto Alegre reggae group Chimarruts, São Paulo rapper Rael, Niterói rapper Black Alien, the Dub Ataque Sound System, Costa Gold, Modestiaparte, and Raízes que tocam will perform live.
Fundição Progresso is one of Rio’s top live music venues tucked behind the arches in Lapa.

Tonight it’s time again for the Pub Crawl Rio de Janeiro. The meeting point to begin the crawl is at Rua Mem de Sá, 55 from 10:30PM to 11PM. There will then be an open bar from 11:10PM to 12:10AM at Bar da Cachaça. Then from 12:20AM to 1AM there will be free entry at the next location and one free shot of tequila or caipirinha. The crawl will then arrive at 1:20AM at its final stop at Bar da Boa for the Lapa Loca party. Entry to that party will be free and pub crawlers will receive one free caipirinha.

La Paz in Centro continues to celebrate its thrid anniversary tonight as it hosts Lambe Lambe Baile. Like every edition of the event, there will be art exhibited, DJs spinning the best of hip hop, trap, dub, funk, techno, house and rock on multiple stages, and live performances. Featured artists during this edition will include Adriano Melhem, André Amaral, Guga Ferraz, Mariana Quintão, Omar Salomão, and Raissa Laban. Featured DJs will include Zoeira, Erik, Skratsh, M$E, Street Crew, Garzon, Kingfoxxx, Mr Brentar, and Bertoletti on the first stage and Felipe Malfoy, Lucius, Magri, Raphael Beranger, and Marcelo spin on the second stage. It’s time again for the best of pop, EDM, hip hop, and funk as the Hit Me party returns to Fosfobox in Copacabana tonight.
