Known for its exploration of colors, Post-impressionism was a style of works popularized in the late 19th century and early 20th century by artists who moved away from Impressionism’s naturalism in search of expression of emotion through colors, lines, and forms.
The exhibition arrives in Rio de Janeiro after being housed in CCBB museum in São Paulo where it received more than 150,000 visitors. “The triumph of color Post-Impressionism” is the second exhibition realized by Musée d’Orsay and the Fundación MAPFRE.
Those interested in attending the exhibition can schedule visits through the Ingresso Rápido website or the CCBB app, which is available for iOS and Android. For additional information, see the CCBB Rio de Janeiro website.
