RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The Wave Tour will make its way to Rio de Janeiro on Sunday, May 15th. Presented by DigiTour, the event will take place at Circo Voador in Lapa and will feature American social media star Nash Grier and friends live for a night filled with music, comedy, games and meet and greets.
Born and raised in the American state of North Carolina, Grier rose to internet fame thanks to the success of his comedy-related videos that he began producing for the mobile app Vine as a freshman in high school in 2013.
The now eighteen-year-old Grier has millions of followers that are spread across various social media platforms. Currently, he is considered by some to be one of the most influential teens in the world.
Joining Grier for the tour are friends and fellow social media stars, DJ Dillon Rupp, Alec Bailey, Rudy Mancuso, and Tez.
The first social media tour and music festival series, DigiTour is presenting The Wave tour in South America and Mexico.
The tour began in Santiago, Chile on May 11th and followed with an event on Friday, May 13th in São Paulo. After the show in Circo Voador, the tour will go on to Buenos Aires, Argentina on May 17th then to Lima, Peru on May 19th. On May 21st the tour will move to Mexico City, Mexico then to Monterrey, Mexico on May 22nd.
