The venue is the first bar and restaurant created by Chef Juliana Reis of the successful Epifania Oriental Contemporâneo in both Leme and Botafogo.

With the help of her brother, Luis Felipe Reis and Yuri Ribeiro, Chef Reis aimed to create a welcoming space with a restaurant offering a variety of affordable, fresh and organic meals inspired by Brazilian, Spanish and Italian cuisine.

“There is a partnership with local producers that will enable a fairer value for the customer,” said chef Juliana Reis in a press release.

Menu options range from appetizers of Suíno (Pork) for R$20 and Bruschetta Roma for R$13 to meals that include salmon carpaccio with cured beets in watercress, dill vinaigrette and mandarin for R$45 and asparagus risotto with parma chips, demi glace and Volta for R$40 plus a variety of pizzas and pastas. Additionally, a white chocolate brownie with fruits and vanilla ice cream is available for dessert for R$18.

The venue’s bar features a selection of craft beers and signature mixed drinks including “Bloody Mary’s Secret,” a Bloody Mary made with Grey Goose Vodka infused with bacon and seasoned by artisan tomato juice.

In addition to the bar and restaurant, Manifesto BCA’s basement includes a small stage where acoustic rock, Irish, and swing bands will perform during the week with Sunday nights dedicated to live jazz performances beginning at 4PM.

Speaking before the venue’s opening, chef Reis said of Manifesto BCA; “It will be a manifesto of everything: price, quality, extraordinary simplicity, friendly service, fun, culture and, above all, healthy and good food.”
