Sunday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – It’s time for the best of samba and early Carnival celebrations today as Circo Voador hosts Grito de Carnaval do Zé Pereira.
Running from 10:30 AM to 10PM the day will consist of workshops for children and live performances by blocos.
The day will begin with a circus workshop for children at 10:30 AM followed by a performance by Orquestra Voadora at 12PM. Another workshop will follow at 1PM and the bloco Céu na Terra will perform at 2PM.
The Mário Bloco will then perform at 3PM with a roda de samaba with Vagalum, A Rocha and Laranjada following at 6:30 PM. Quizomba will then close out the event with a peformance beginning at 8:30 PM.

The Anime Wings event returns to Centro de Convenções SulAmérica today. Sundays are all about samba and soccer at Lapa’s Leviano bar.
