Saturday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Get your costumes ready, as venues and bars throughout the city are hosting Halloween events tonight.
In Botafogo, celebrating the show “Orange is the New Black” and Halloween, Espaço Rampa will host The Orange Party, Halloween in Litchfield edition tonight.
There will be a costume contest, decorations, Halloween candy, an area for mugshot photos, distribution of fake blood, cigarette carrying cockroaches in training, and “haunted” boat rides around Guanabara Bay.
Additionally, there will be live tattooing, temporary tattoos distributed, welcome shots of black vodka for the first fifty people to arrive, two-for-one specials on “Orange” shots until 1AM and special Poussey shots distributed from the stage.
DJs Millah Bass, Jess, Erika Ferreira and Kajé Soares will spin the best of hits, funk, hip hop, rock and pop rock throughout the night.

Fundição Progresso celebrates the holiday time with a very special edition of the Chá da Anitta party entitled, Challoween. Brazilian pop star Anitta will perform live during the event. Costumes aren’t mandatory but organizers suggest they might make the night more fun than it already promises to be.

Tonight in celebration of Halloween, The Week in Saúde will host Halloweek Babylon. On the Babylon stage, Nikki will perform live and DJs Flávio Lima, Mauro Mozart and Gustavo Júnior will spin. DJs Felipe Mar, Rody, Mari Benting and Dih Cavalcante will spin on the Wallpaper stage during the night. Costumes are welcome but not required.

Tonight to celebrate the holiday, Porto Pirata will host the second edition of the Halloween-A-Billy party. Four bands, O Temível Monstro e Sua Terrível Monobanda, Os Provocadores, Os Pazuzus, and Os Carburadores will perform the best of rockabilly, psychobilly, garage, surf, punk, and the best of the 50s, 60s and 80s. Additionally, DJs Diego Ernesto, Denis Gonzales, and El Carburador will spin during the night and horror movies will be projected on the big screen throughout the party. There will be prizes for best costume and plenty of treats and tricks throughout the night.

There will be decorations, a darkroom of terror, alcoholic cupcakes, participants dressed as Chucky mingling throughout the party, distribution of “zombie eyes”, and treats hidden throughout the venue. Additionally there will be a costume contest and the horror movies and shows, “American Horror Story”, “Texas Chainshaw Massacre” and “The Exorcist”, among others, will be projected throughout the night. Fosfobox celebrates the holiday tonight with a special Halloween edition of the Hit Me party. DJs Polly and Ivy will spin the best of EDM, pop, hip hop and funk in the subsolo (basement) during the night and DJs Julie and SaJoão will spin the best of pop, indie, and older hits above at the Fosfobar. The Mariuzinn Copacabana will host the Trick or Treat Halloween Party tonight. There will be a four-hour open bar with Smirnoff vodka, beer, shots of tequila, and tropical drinks including Blue Lagoon and Sex on Beach. Additionally during the night, DJ Guga Fernandes and Germano will spin and there will be a makeup artist to help partygoers look more ghoulish and undead.
